I've heard from several local businesses in the past month that they joined Twitter, tweeted twice and stopped. What did they expect to happen with two tweets? People say their kids love it because they follow their favorite celebrities. And many adults use Twitter to keep updated with the latest news. So ... Why are so many businesses using Twitter?As of late, a few people and businesses have expressed frustration with not understanding what to do with Twitter. Businesses are on Twitter because it is an excellent way to network with colleagues and clients, discover new business opportunities, provide customer service, drive traffic to websites, offer specials and discounts, and more! For example, because our company believes doing business with local companies is important, we started a list of local businesses that are on Twitter.
